Twitter Rumored To Be Adding Photos Filters In Move To Battle Instagram

Twitter Rumored To Be Adding Photos Filters In Move To Battle Instagram:

So we all recall the kerfuffle when Facebook snatched Instagram away from Twitter and co-founder Jack Dorsey stopped using the tool in a tiff.
And then Twitter took away Instagram’s API access, solidifying the rift. But then Instagram was all “in yo’ face, Twitter” as it came out with a workaround that promised to convert Twitter’s  photo-loving users faster than your favorite cult.
Well, according to The New York Times, Twitter is planning some pretty cool updates in the coming months, including photo filters “that will allow people to share altered images on Twitter and bypass Instagram.”
Don’t you love tech wars? All that’s missing are battling avatar-style robots.

Is Social Media The Future Of Customer Service? [INFOGRAPHIC]

Is Social Media The Future Of Customer Service? [INFOGRAPHIC]:
Brand pages and profiles on platforms such as Twitter and Facebook have become enormously valuable for businesses looking to market products and services, raise awareness, boost website footfall and drive sales, but the two-way nature of social media has also meant that these channels are increasingly being used by consumers for customer support.
Indeed, almost eight out of ten (78 percent) of respondents in a recent survey believe that social media is the future of customer service. But brands still have work to do – another poll revealed that 71 percent of customers never received any kind of response from the company when they complained to them directly on Twitter.

Facebook Leapfrogs Twitter, Adds Instagram-Style Photo Filters To iOS Apps First

Facebook Leapfrogs Twitter, Adds Instagram-Style Photo Filters To iOS Apps First:
Yesterday we wrote about a rumour in the New York Times that proposed that Twitter is soon going to add photo filters to its platform to allow it to compete with Instagram, the photo-sharing social network that was acquired by Facebook back in April. The Times suggested that Twitter was finally learning a lesson from Facebook; namely, “if you can’t buy it, build it”.
Well, it appears Facebook might have learned a lesson of its own, too, as the tipoff from the Times has led to them rushing out an update to their official Facebook apps on the iPhone and iPad, and, while it wasn’t mentioned in the release notes, it’s the camera functionality that has seen the biggest change.
Specifically: it now has Instagram-style photo filters.
